When I finally got rid of my old clothes, I had about the same amount of bags, a little less but pretty close. I just couldn't let them go. All the tight fitting clothes and stuff that I used to fit into before kids.
I cleared 2 big bags out of my closet this week, including some pants that are just too big now and not worth altering. I kept my biggest pair though, for demonstration purposes. I arrange my clothes based on size and function. 3 drawers of pants, too big, fits now and too tight... I suspect that that's a little OCD too, but it beats trying on one that's too big, one that's too little and then one that's just right before I move onto the porridge that's too hot, then too cold, then just right. Besides I get a lot of satisfaction out of moving the pants between the drawers.
Berly...how crazy is this? I just cleaned out my closet last weekend too. Two trash bags full...all donated. I think it's all that weight we "Big Losers" have been shedding.
Today I plan to hit the store to fill my closet back up.
