Men in Women's Underwear

Hubby and I are watching t.v. last night.
Having a fine time. A commercial comes on.
Seems normal. Nice background music.
BAM!
It is a tampon ad.
This infuriates hubby.
"UGH!"
"Why do they have to sneak up on you like that" he said.

This is why I am laughing today.

lol...that is so funny. But honestly, I don't like watching those commercials either. I'd hate to have to be the person responsible for dreaming those up.

I don't like those commericals either. It just makes me remember that time of month and makes me sick to my stomach. There are some commercials that peole should just not be able to air.

it's the power rock ballad music that gets me
especially on the bodyform ads
see in the uk...we have them ads for "feminine hygiene products" and yeah they make men a little uncomfortable...ok i can deal with that, but why does some marketing "genius" (and i use the term loosely) think it's a good idea to put them on during major sporting events...like the FA cup and the like (programmes that have an exceptionally high male veiwer percentage)
idiots

LOL!!! Guys are so funny sometimes!

Although, if there were ever a commercial for jock straps, or erectile dysfunction Or scrotum SOMETHING...i'd probably be the same.

The worst is when you're at work eating lunch with your male supervisor, and the tampon commercial comes on. Enter awkward silence...

I really don't see what the big deal is. Doesn't bother me one little bit.

I used to get it all the time when I was married... Headed home from work, call the wifie... "Anything you need at the store on my way home?" I'd ask...

Yeah, some tampons...

No problem. Pick them up, no big deal. It's the same with toilet paper. You buy huge 'family sized' pack of it, carry it around the grocery store, and you KNOW exactly what that's going to be used for.

What's the big deal about buying a little pink box?

Oh, your post totally takes me back. I was an advertising major in college and I used to obsess over ways to make femine hygiene product commercials less intrusive. I really hate the ones where they pour liquid into a maxi pad to show how much it absorbs -- gross!
